Sizzling Summer Reading Challenge

Hi romance junkies! We want you getting all hot and bothered from something other then the sun this summer so Kelly from Secrets of a Book Lover and I are hosting a Sizzling Summer Reading Challenge, and we hope to see some of you joining in!


This challenge will run from July 5, 2011 – September 5, 2011
The goal is to read *10 sexy, sizzling and sultry romances in this time frame. Books read prior to 07/05/11 do not count. You can join at anytime and sign up at Reading Between the Wines or Secrets of a Book Lover. If you want to push yourself further then the 10 book goal then feel free. 

Here's the deets:


  • Books can be read in any format: bound, ebook, audio.
  • Open to any romance or erotica genres and sub-genres.
  • Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are fine.
  • You can list your books in advance or list them as you read them. It is not required that you review the books you read for this challenge but feel free to do so.
  • Post this reading challenge on your blog so that you can keep a list of the books you’ve read for it. Please include a link back to this post so other readers can join in the challenge too. Then make sure to add your link to the Mister Linky below.
  • You do not need to be a book blogger to participate, you can keep a list of the books you’ve read for this challenge on GoodReads or LibraryThing if you’d like, just make a Sizzling Summer Reading Challenge shelf to keep track of your reads. 
  • When you’ve completed the challenge fill out the form below, this will be needed at the end because….
  • There will be a giveaway at the end of the challenge for all participants who completed it! Kelly and I will be giving away one $30.00 electronic gift card to Amazon or Barnes & Noble to one lucky participant. A Winner will be selected at random at the end of the challenge.

    I had a questions, I know with some challenges there a page to post links to the reviews you write when you write them for the books you used for the challenge. Will this challenge include that feature as well? I know you said you don't have to review the books, but that you can. So I was wondering if you were going to do a review link up like for challenge books like I've seen on some of the other challenges.

    Jenn- No, since this is only a summer challenge and reviews aren't required we're not doing a linky for them. However, if you are reviewing your books you can link them up on your own challenge page/post on your blog. Hope that answered your question. =) Let me know if you have anymore.

    I would love to do this challenge. I am also learning the blogging world so please bear with me while I figure this out! I know I want a challenge page with all the challenges I am doing plus a list of all the books I read! I will put it all together!

    I filled out the form when i was done but i think the url i put in there was the one that was all messed and i had to change it.
