Shameless Sundays (1)

Shameless Sundays is a new weekly feature where I will shamelessly self promote or promote a friend's product! 

This week, since we are wrapping up our Book of the Month, Jaci Burton's Changing the Game I thought that I would share with you all a gorgeous book thong that is currently listed in my Etsy store, DallaLuna, that matches the book!

Using a durable black waxed cotton cord and real swarovski crystals I have created this one of a kind bookmark that shows your love of the game, and Gavin! ;) 

First I hand-beaded silver beads to begin the strands on each side, then added a small black bicone swarovski crystal to match the lettering of the book, a medium blue bicone swarovski crystal to tie in the color of Gavin's jeans and then a medium black bicone swarovski crystal. Each crystal is separated by a clear czech  glass bead. 

After the crystals I use a silver plated spacer with a very pretty design engraved into it and then a cut and polished glass bead that is the same smokey brown color in the background of the cover, I then end it with a silver plated ending. 

To complete the look and add an integral element from the starring character of the story, Gavin, I've used silver platted charms to dangle from each end. One is a baseball glove that holds a baseball in the center while the other is a baseball cap.

These custom book marks are a great way to dress up your books and do not harm the binding or pages. The cord sits inside the crease of the book and keeps your place while the beaded ends extend outside the book at the top and bottom. They make a great decoration for your shelves and they can even be hanged from your car mirror for some extra bling there and to show your love of reading. Book thongs are a perfect gift for book lovers!
