Thanks for having me here! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and where’s the liquor cabinet? Seriously, if we’re talking about our favorite drinks, then I think I’m gonna need some motivation and inspiration here! Ahh, that’s better.
A few years ago, my daughter and I went to Paris for a week long ‘chick trip’ and we drank enough Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc to keep a dozen women happy. And something we laughed about—home in California , we go for the French wine a lot. In Paris , people were clamoring for Sutter Home (the imported stuff!)
But at Christmas time, we need to be a little more festive! Nothing says winter to me like Bailey’s Irish Cream in my coffee! Add some whipped cream and some chocolate sprinkles and I’m set. Now all I need to do is move from California to somewhere cold enough that I can have my favorite Holiday drink more often! But as a writer, I also get to figure out what my characters like, what they loathe—like Finn, the hero of my June 2012 release, VISIONS OF CHAINS. He’s a crabby immortal with attitude and—
Okay, enough. You heard from the writer. Now let’s hear it direct from me. Finn. I’m not crabby. I’ve been around for freaking ever so I don’t have a lot of patience with people who waste my time. For instance, talking about white wine? Really? For the sake of my god Belen, if you’re going to have a drink, then have a real drink. Sixty year old scotch. Paddy’s Irish Whiskey. Hell, I’ll even take a cold Harp beer over a damn glass of white wine.
Hard to go out and slaughter demons and save your damn witch when she’s gotten in over her head if the only fuel you’re working on is wine. Now that we’ve settled this major issue… I appreciate a good time as much as the next Immortal, but all this talking is making me thirsty—not to mention that Regan’s supposed to be working on my copyedits…So, it’s been nice. Thanks for having us. I’m off for a beer and Regan’s off to work. Right?
Um yeah. What he said. Crabby damn Immortals.
One commenter will win a signed copy of my latest book, VISIONS OF SKYFIRE!
Merry Christmas!
Every witch has a destined mate, an Eternal who will serve as her guardian and complete her powers. Once the coven has awakened, the witches must race against time to join with their Eternals and protect the relics that will prevent the destruction of the world…
The Awakening is upon Teresa Santiago. Despite training for this moment since she was a child, Teresa is unprepared for the vastness of her power or for her attraction to Rune, her Eternal protector and destined mate.
United by purpose—and passion—Teresa and Rune must locate one of the missing artifacts before its power unleashes the forces of darkness on the world. His strength and her ability to summon lightning should be enough to protect them from the government agents charged with imprisoning witches. But their enemies are both mortal and magical—and danger follows Teresa at every turn.
In this ultimate battle between good and evil, only through sacrifice will love conquer all…
