Finding True Love
It’s funny how love happens.
You never know when the love bug will bite you. As a child, I’ve always envisioned my Prince Charming riding in on his white horse and carrying me away to a land where I didn’t have to do chores or go to school or listen to my parents nag about what I should become when I get older.
As a teenager, all those boy crushes became disappointments when society influences one’s perceptions.
As an adult, I was meeting the wrong guy and wishing I could turn back time and change things, but who am I kidding?
Does true love even exist?
No, don’t worry. I’m not cynical. Truthfully, I live vicariously through my characters.
Lia, from True Connections, finds true love, but doesn’t even know it, until it’s too late. Isn’t that how it always happen? You never appreciate what you have until you don’t have it…unless it’s your nemesis.
Max, on the other hand, he’s been running scared from Lia, until she decides to return to town. Of course, his heart is in danger again. With danger in town and their grandmother’s plotting against them, they have no choice but to face the truth: Love.
As enemies since childhood, it was hard for them both to play nice. They were always trying to beat each other at games, out do each other in every endeavor, and just get on each other’s nerves.
But when you’re given a chance to find and face love, how could they resist?
So tell me your true love story. Was it smooth-sailing or as rocky as Max and Lia’s? Share your story and one lucky winner will win an ebook copy of True Connections!
Thank you so much for having me.
Lia McEvil is back in town, and Max is in trouble.
Max Sheraton and Lia McEvers have been rivals since childhood. Not even the kiss that chased Lia away could make them stop fighting. Now, five years later, Lia’s back in her hometown of Grant to open a new branch of her matchmaking business, True Connections–and Max finds himself in the line of fire when their families conspire for Max to make a connection of his own. Under pressure from both their grandmothers, Lia and Max embark on a scheme to find Max a suitable match, but it doesn’t take a compatibility profile to tell the real connection is between Max and Lia. Between sizzlingly hot kisses that turn into tempestuous fights, their attraction turns explosive enough to break down the antagonism between them.
But Lia has a secret that’s chased her home…and that may be the one thing that can stop Lia and Max from making the true connection they so desperately crave.

My 'true love' story has been rocky. How could it not be when I met him because him and his friend almost rammed their car into my friend's car?? Even though it has been rocky, the best decision that I ever made was to have my friend turn the car around so that I could go tell them off! He has been mine since and that was 20 years ago!

I love to read about true love. Does it really exist? I think so...but it takes a lot of hard work to keep it going strong, lol.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had my true love story yet.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great book.
Adding it the TBR list.
My true love story has not ended yet. High school sweethearts. Broke up to pursue different paths in life. 25 years later, both unhappily married, and they meet again. He gets divorced and I am still married. We still talk to eachother. The end is still to be determined. Hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the awesome giveaway!
I like the sound of your story line, competitors that turn into lovers.
ReplyDeleteMy HEA is my favorite love story. I grew up in the same small town as my husband, he was a friends brother and stayed that way until high school trigonometry class. We flirted, he asked me to go to a movie, he was shy and I wanted a kiss so I grabbed the front of his jacket and had my last first kiss. =)
I do think that true love exists, but is different for everyone. I think that everyone has atleast one person, but sometimes get lucky and have more than one. Sometimes things don't work out. I love being in love, I love the feeling of falling in love and sharing all those fun experiences.
ReplyDeleteLoved the excerpt and would love to win and read this book. Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new release! It sounds amazing! I love adversaries to lovers and I'm a sucker for a good HEA!
I met my boyfriend online on a dating site. I signed up and a week later, we met. It's been 3 happy years and I've never regretted it! He's well broken in and I've finally gotten him trained, so he's definitely a keeper ;)
I don't have a true love story. A childhood rival story sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a true love story, but I enjoy reading about them.
ReplyDeleteMy true love story is a litte rocky...we met over 25 yrs ago on a blind date set up by my boss! We'd both been married before...so, weren't too sure we wanted to jump back into that boat...but here we are...married almost 21 yrs now.

ReplyDeleteI met my true love 19 years ago on a blind date! We have had our fair share of bumps in the roads but we will be married for 15 years this May and show no signs of slowing down!
