Dear Reader,GoodReads
Have you ever wanted to know what it's like to be immortal? To journey through the night stalking the evil that preys on humans? To have unlimited wealth, unlimited power? That is my existence, and it is dark and dangerous. I play hero to thousands, but am known to none. And I love every minute of it.
Or so I thought until one night when I woke up handcuffed to my worst nightmare: a conservative woman in a button-down shirt. Or in Amanda's case, buttoned all the way up to her chin. She's smart, sexy, witty, and wants nothing to do with the paranormal-in other words, me.
My attraction to Amanda Devereaux goes against everything I stand for. Not to mention the last time I fell in love it cost me not only my human life, but also my very soul. Yet every time I look at her, I find myself wanting to try again. Wanting to believe that love and loyalty do exist.
Even more disturbing, I find myself wondering if there's any way a woman like Amanda can love a man whose battle scars run deep, and whose heart was damaged by a betrayal so savage that he's not sure it will ever beat again.

Crystal’s Thoughts:
My goal this year is to finally read Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter series and now that I have started it I’m wondering why the heck did I wait so long?!?! Fans of paranormal romance, this series is a must read!
Centuries ago, Kyrian of Thrace was betrayed by his wife and murdered by his Roman enemy when the Goddess Artemis traded his soul for the chance at vengeance. Now Kyrian roams the night, protecting humanity and hunting the soul-stealing Daimons as a Dark-Hunter. When a Daimon enemy captures him and he wakes up handcuffed to an uptight human woman, Kyrian get’s an expected chance to finally put his past demons to rest and a second chance at love.
But Amanda Devereaux wants nothing of the paranormal; with a family full of Cajun crazies she craves the normal and boring. When she is mistakenly kidnapped and handcuffed to a handsome goth man, Amanda’s orderly world is turned upside down. To escape their captor though Kyrian and Amanda must band together and with the help of some quirky friends they may have a shot at taking down this super-powered Daimon. But does a man without a soul even have a chance at a future with love?
Sherrilyn Kenyon takes readers on an emotional and action-packed journey into the world of the Dark-Hunters where you will find yourself laughing, crying and gripping the edge of your seat at any given moment. From the main characters to the secondary ones, you’ll find yourself caught up in each of them in no time at all. The story flows so fluidly you won’t be able to put it down, let alone find a stopping point to do so! Entertaining, gripping and yes, incredibly sexy I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, and then the next one, and the one after that…well, you get the point! Sherrilyn Kenyon takes the paranormal and makes it all her own with the Dark-Hunters, giving vampires a unique Greek mythology twist that builds upon itself with each page.
Kyrian and Amanda’s relationship I loved, Kyrian had such a heart-breaking past and it really gave me all kinds of happy flutters in my stomach when Amanda taught him to trust again. And Acheron? Smart, sexy, sarcastic with untold powers and unknown secrets – hell yeah! I’m packing my bags and loading up for that train. All aboard, choo-choo! ;)
All in all, if you haven’t picked up Night Pleasures or read the Dark-Hunters series, do so – now! Seriously, go download to your reader or buy it from your favorite book store right now. This is not a series to miss!
Rating: 5 Wine Glasses - A toast to perfection, this is a must-read!
Oh my God I love this series so much! Kyrian is still my favorite after all this time, though Acheron is a close second (get tissues when you read his book you'll need them). I can't wait to hear what you think of the rest of the series.
