Dear Readers,
My name is Chance Bellew and I guess you could say I’ve skirted the very edges of what’s legal—for an angel. Actually, I’m not exactly an angel, I’m a nephilim. There are four of us in the group. Me, Ryder, Hunter and Dillon. All our fathers were angels. Centuries ago they mated with mortal women. When the women bore children, a new race was created. Immortals with powers—demigods. That’s us.
We don’t live by the same rules as mortals, nor that of the typical robe-wearing, bright-light-surrounding-them angels. Hell, most of the time we’re breaking the rules and making up new ones as we go. As long as we don’t cross over to the dark side, everyone pretty much stays out of our way.
I’m having a bit of a problem, though. You see, Destiny is a demon in training, but she was kicked out of Hell and only given one week to steal a soul. I can’t have her going around trying to corrupt every man she meets.
That’s where my problem starts. I figure I can protect the poor saps who might fall victim to her charms and maybe save her soul in the process. But when the bar door swings open and I see her standing in the doorway I know this assignment isn’t going to be as easy as I first thought. One look and men want to break every commandment, then add a few more for good measure. Her body is temptation, and sinning shouldn’t look this damn good.
She might be sexy, and different from other women, but no, she won’t get the best of me. I’ve been saving souls way too long to get caught in a demon’s trap, especially one still in training. I’ll do whatever it takes to save her.
But Destiny has her own agenda. She wants more than my body…she wants my soul. I might just be in trouble with this one because when a demon-in-training, who looks like Destiny comes along…all hell breaks loose.

When sexy wannabe-demon, Destiny Carter, is kicked out of Hell, she lands in Ft. Worth, Texas with one week to corrupt a soul. Or else. She slips into a slinky red dress, and heads straight for the delicious, corruptible looking cowboy at the bar.
But Chance Bellew has his own agenda-saving souls. He's not your typical angel. He’s a nephilim, to be exact. Centuries ago, angels came down from Heaven and mated with mortal women. When the women bore children, a new race was created. Immortals with powers—demigods, nephilim.
But the children don’t live by the same rules as mortals, or that of the typical, robe-wearing, bright light-surrounding-them angels. Hell, most of the time the nephilim are breaking the rules, and making up new ones as they go. As long as they don’t cross over to the dark side, everyone pretty much stays out of their way.
But sometimes a demon-in-training, who looks like Destiny, comes along and all Hell breaks loose.

ReplyDeleteI loved Faith from Buffy/Angel. She was a slayer but she wasn't always a good girl. She was a loose cannon.

ReplyDeleteI've never read about a bad girl in the league of Destiny. Angelina Jolie has played some pretty tough women, but I don't know if they were 'bad', except for maybe when she was an assassin in 'Mr & Mrs Smith'.
