Me, not so much. LoL I always try to hit upon key points like characters, plot, pace, world-building and I unless I am doing a quickie review then I summarize the book in my own words at the very beginning with a one-liner at the very start. Usually I try to hit for 4-5 paragraphs total, more then that and I think reader's eyes start to cross. LoL
I've tried sticking to an outline before but it just didn't work for me, I like to fly by the seat of my pants I guess. ;)
How about you? Do you have a formula or routine while writing reviews or do you just go with the flow? Leave a comment and share your thoughts. Have a great weekend!

Not really. With ARC's I try not to give everything away while mentioning some of the things I enjoyed about the book. I think every review turns out a little differently for me.

I have two different formula's for my paranormal/urban fantasy and romantic suspense/mystery thrillers reviews.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
My number one goal when writing a review is to not give too much away - so hard when I LOVE a book.
ReplyDeleteNot so much. I have general guidelines, but I don't follow them exactly for every review.

I don't really have a formula, but I try not to give spoilers (don't like them). I just write & try to make sense too.
