Welcome, one and all, to the Character Costume Party! We have some truly wicked authors joining us now through Halloween, and they're dressing up your favorite book characters, or undressing them as the case may be, and we're ready to get down and party! So put your kitty ears on and join us as Lexi interviews the fabulous Jacquelyn Frank about her upcoming release, Forbidden, set in the must-read Nightwalker world, and her super sexy hero, Ram!
LEXI: With Halloween around the corner, and
the kick off of our Character Costume Party what better author to invite to
stop by than the author of things going bump in the night shadows: Jacquelyn
Frank!
I am loving the sound of Ram, the hero
in Forbidden. He sounds like the perfect addition to any Halloween party.
Though he would need a costume...so if Ram walked in on you right now naked
(no, that would be Ram being naked not you) what could you throw together for a
costume for him?
J.Frank: Hmm.
A toga. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Easy on, easy right back off!
LEXI: I know, difficult to think of when you
are slack-jawed and drooling. Payback for all the times you render us readers
into that state with your sexy alpha males. Speaking of all your heroes, I am
an Elijah fan; can I dress him in a fig leaf and go trick-or-treating?
J. FRANK: You can try. But you’d
have one pissed off spitting mad cougar on your hands. She does NOT like to
share!
LEXI: Do your cats get in on any Halloween
fun; hats, dyed fur, and painted claws? I do hope they are all doing well and
are healthy enough to tear apart any and all candy you bring into the
house.
Or maybe you are planning on giving
your poor cats a break; shut yourself inside with a scary flick and a few
friends by the names of Adam, Jacob, Noah, Sagan and Ender? Maybe you would
care to share? *hopeful pause*
J. FRANK: It will be the kitties and
me alone, alas. And I do NOT dress them up. I find that to be cruel and unusual
punishment personally. But I might be spending it with the new hero and heroine
of the third book in the new series. And no, I can’t tell you who it is. That
would be a spoiler for previous books.
LEXI: I guess I can have any of these hot
heroes join me any night; a few of them sleep under my bed. *wink* Hope you
have some protection against the boogeyman; it is Halloween soon after
all!
J. FRANK: I could ALWAYS whip out a
spare Nightwalker if necessary…or the Taser I keep at my bedside. Whichever one
I think is more fun at any given moment.
LEXI: Thanks for stopping by Jacquelyn! I am
very excited to check out your new series, The World of Nightwalkers. Here’s
hoping it will be another multiple book series for you!
J. FRANK: I plan on at least three but it’s
leaning toward six again! And I am extremely honored to be asked. I thank you
from the bottom of my fiction writing heart!

From New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank comes this first book in The World of the Nightwalkers—an exciting and sensual new spin-off series in which the Bodywalkers, an ancient race of the night, battles the evil forces who prey on them.
The unexpected happens in an instant. On her way to work, secretary Docia Waverley hurtles into a crashing crossroads, and she quickly begins to suspect that things will never be the same. Then, when a tall, blond, muscular stranger intervenes on her behalf, telling her it is his duty to protect her at all cost, what is just a feeling turns to proof positive. That is, as long as Docia’s savior doesn’t turn out to be a crazed kidnapper.
When Ram finds Docia, he has no doubt that she is his queen. But as this golden warrior sweeps in to protect her, he feels something more than body heat every time they touch. He is overwhelmed by a searing connection that goes deep into the twin souls inside him. A desire rises in him that is forbidden—this woman is his queen, the mate of his king, his leader, his best friend. And yet Docia is so vulnerable and attractive that she awakens a hunger in Ram that is undeniable, a carnal craving he cannot yield to . . . not without risking the very survival of the Bodywalkers.

After being brought back from death, police officer Jackson Waverly receives the shock of his life: he has become host to a Bodywalker, a spirit that is reborn in flesh and blood, and part of a proud, ancient race that uses its extraordinary gifts to battle dark, evil forces. Jackson’s spirit is a powerful one—none other than the Egyptian pharaoh Menes, who longs to reunite with his eternal love, the Egyptian queen Hatshepsut.
While Menes is obsessed with finding the perfect vessel for his queen, Jackson cannot stop thinking about Dr. Marissa Anderson, the gorgeous precinct shrink who keeps pushing him to confront his grief over the loss of his K-9 partner. But what Marissa really arouses most in Jackson is intense desire, which is exactly what Menes is looking for. To fight a great enemy, pharaoh and queen must join; but to host Hatshepsut, Marissa will first have to die. Fate has given Jackson a profound choice: save Marissa from Menes’ plan or keep an entire species from the brink of extinction.

I love her Nightwalker series, so I guess my favorite is probably Gideon. As to what I'd dress him up as? Why would I dress him up, shouldn't I want it all off?!!
ReplyDeleteI love her Nightwalker series and it's really hard to pick a favorite character but I really love Gideon though and I would love to see him dressed in tight leather pants and no shirt.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this author yet though I have heard of her! For a costume? Hmm na..nah!
ReplyDeleteI love her books. I think I would have to go with Adam. But the thing is, I just can't see him letting anyone dress him up as anything for halloween. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a black flowing cape though..yummy.

Wow that is a hard one since there are so many great characters in Jacquelyn's worlds. Hrmmm I would love to see Gideon dress up in something cute and silly (since it is so far removed from his thinking!).

I've read Jacob in the Nightwalkers series. I loved the book and Jacob. Not at all what one would think a demon would be. I'd dress Jacob up as a vampire. I think he'd look great in a black cape and fangs.
