Crystal L's Thoughts:
You see that warning at the top of the blurb? The one that says this is not your typical love story? Heed that freakin' warning. I say that because there were times while I was reading this book that I thought I was either going to hyperventilate throw my Nook across the room, or I had the overwhelming desire to reach into the book and stab the main character Deuce. In fact, I said "I would of stabbed his ass" so many times that my husband started to wonder whether it was safe to sleep next to me in the bed.
So now that you've been warned, I'll proceed. This book is like a roller coaster, and when I say that I don't mean the one that's all like "WEEE! This is loads of fun!" No, I mean the roller coaster where as soon as you get off you think you might hurl and you wish you had spent half the ride with your eyes closed but you were seriously too chicken shit to close them and then not know what was coming next. (I'm a control freak people - I ALWAYS want to know what's coming next)
Deuce and Eva's story starts with them meeting while they visit their perspective father's in Riker's prison while Eva is 5 and Deuce is 23. The story spans many years with multiple run ins between Deuce and Eva in what becomes equivalent to a crazy ass motorcycle themed Romeo and Juliet type story. Throw in a few crazy ass men that are obsessed with Eva, and Deuce's need to boink women who are not Eva, and you can see why I felt the need to stab people. I had serious issues with this book, but I also think that any author that can make you feel the range of emotions like this author made me feel, is a pretty damn good writer. I recommend this book, but I also know that some of you will love it, some of you will hate it, and many of you will be like me and have a love/hate relationship with it. The point is, just read it. I'm almost shocked to say that I can't wait to read the next book in the series, but I really can't wait to read it. I'm giving this book a 4 wine glass toast, and not a 5 wine glass toast simply because there were quite a few things that I don't normally like to read about in this book. I won't say what they are because it would spoil the story. It's still a must read book though, so check it out.

Goodreads
Warning: This is not a typical love story. This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime.
Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—a man worthy of love—and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without.
This is Eva and Deuce’s story.
It wasn’t easy. Nothing worth doing ever is.And love is worth everything.

I loved this book; I wanted to cause Deuce physical harm - like you - many times. Also, I cannot wait for the next book.
ReplyDeleteLove your assessment and feelings for this book; I actually share them too.

OH my. I'm not sure which was more intense the blurb or your review. The combination of the two has jettisoned Undeniable onto my TBR...well that and the fact that I haven't read any motor cycle gang themed (almost?) romances. But since I'm a huge SOA fan I want to check this out. Thanks.
