Good morning lovelies! Today I would like to give a warm welcome to author, Caridad Pineiro!
People often ask me what I love best about being a writer.
That's a really tough question because there are some many good things that have come about because of my writing. So in no particular order, here are some of the things I love!
1. Travel.
I've been lucky to be able to visit a number of the places where I've set stories, like the Jersey Shore location for GHOST OF A CHANCE. Unfortunately, I can't go everywhere, especially some of the more exotic locales, like the San Blas Islands where my shark shifting goddess Nali lives.
2. Control.
Being overly Type A, it's great to have one thing where you can control everything that goes on, namely the world in your books and of course, your characters. Or at least you tell yourself that. Sometimes when you're writing, the characters may surprise you and take you in ways that you never expected. That was what happened in THE SHIFTER'S KISS when Nali and Victor. I thought I knew what the ending would be, but as the story progressed, the characters told me that the ending I had planned wasn't the right one. At the end of the day, the happily-ever-after that happened was way different from what I had originally envisioned, but totally satisfying.
3. You.
Yes, you the readers. It's been so wonderful getting to meet so many of you and spend time with you. It's always great to hear from you and find out what you liked (or didn't like) about the stories. I also love hearing from you about whether you would like to see more stories about some of the characters, like Diana and Ryder from THE CALLING/REBORN, or Sammie and Ryan from the SIN HUNTERS. And yes, look for new books with these characters later this year!
