For the last stop on our BOOKCATION author Jessica Sorensen joins Lexi with her recent release of The Forever Ella and Micha. Thank you so much for joining us all week long, we hope you have enjoyed the event!
Lexi: How many of you miss having summer vacation? And those of you lucky enough to still have it-shush. For the rest of us, the next best thing is BOOKCATION! And today we have the perfect recommendation from our guest today, Jessica Sorensen!
Ella and Micha...two deeply written characters that tug at our heart strings. Looking at the cover of The Forever of Ella and Micha it appears that we will have a happy ending for these two? Of course after you put them through some more emotional turmoil right?
Jessica: Of course there will be emotional turmoil! It’s my favorite part in any story :) Ella and Micha go through a lot both separately and together, and in the end they are stronger as individuals and as a couple.
Lexi: It seems the NA, new adult, genre is the perfect fit for you. You captured young love and that essence of college life, makes me wonder if you ever did the long distance thing with a special someone? For this series did you feel yourself pulling on your own experiences?
Jessica: I think almost every story I have ever written I’ve probably pulled ideas from my own experiences, even if it’s just a teeny tiny bit. I think Ella and Micha a little bit more, mainly because the whole small town thing is very relatable for me.
And yes, I have tried the long distance thing once and it didn’t work! My boyfriend then, husband now ended up moving to where I lived so we didn’t have to be apart.
Lexi: You sure have a few books to choose from to spread your first hand experiences into. Fallen Star Series, the Darkness Falls Series, the Death Collectors Series, and The Secret Series. When do you ever have time to do anything else? Have you had time to see the new Hangover movie yet?
Jessica: Writing is a full time job for me, but I have an awesome husband who takes care of a lot of stuff so that I do have time to do other stuff when I get writing for the day.
I haven’t seen the new hangover movie yet, but I’m definitely planning on it. The original is high up on my favorite comedy movies of all time.
Lexi: Hopefully you manage to wedge in some summertime fun between your crazy writing schedule. Movies, beach, BookExpos :) Have fun and thanks for taking a little time to chat with us!

Ella and Micha have survived tragedy and heartbreak. When they're together, anything seems possible. But now they are thousands of miles apart, and managing their long distance relationship will put their love to the test.
Ella is back at school, trying hard not worry so much about her future. But with her father in and out of rehab, she's having a hard time making it through the days. All she wants is Micha by her side, but she refuses to let her problems get in the way of his dreams.
Micha spends his days touring the country with his band, but deep down he knows something is missing. Being away from Ella is harder than he thought it would be. He wants her closer to him-needs her with him. But he won't ask her to leave college, just to be with him.
The few moments they do spend together are intense and passionate, but it only makes it more difficult when they have to part. They know they want to be together, but is wanting something enough to get them to their forever?

If you loved Beautiful Disaster then you're ready to discover . . .
THE SECRET OF ELLA AND MICHA
A rule-breaker with a fiery attitude, Ella always wore her heart on her sleeve. Then she left everything behind to go to college, where she transformed into someone who follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. Now it's summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home. But once there, Ella fears that everything she's worked so hard to bury might resurface-especially with Micha living right next door.
Smart, sexy, and confident, Micha can get under Ella's skin like no one else. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. If he tries to tempt the old Ella to return, he will be impossible to resist. But what Ella doesn't realize is that when she left, she took a piece of Micha's heart with her. Now he's determined to win back the girl he lost, no matter what it takes.
