Crystal's Thoughts:
After graduating college Emily Cooper moves from Colorado to New York to be with her best friend and boyfriend. Emily's boyfriend, Dillon Parker, has been with her through the emotional turmoil of losing her mother to cancer. She loves him and feels that she owes him more then she can ever repay. Everything in her life seems to be getting back on track and Emily shoves aside the thoughts about how controlling Dillon seems to be becoming. Until the end of her fist day at her new job.
She is asked to make a delivery to a company a few blocks down and when she reaches her destination comes fast to face with a tall, dark and handsome man that instantly intrigues her. Despite her attraction she is faithful to her boyfriend but rich playboy Gavin Blake isn't going to let it go so easily. He relentlessly pursues her, despite the fact that she is his friend's girlfriend. He knows that she is the one for him and also knows that Dillon is not anywhere near good enough for her.
Caught between two strong willed men, one she loves and the other she is coming to love, Emily struggles with what is right; for her, the men she loves, and her friends. How many second chances will Fate give them before she gives up?
Collide was a truly fantastic book start to finish. I'm still thinking about these alluring characters and their poignant story a day later. But to be honest, Gavin Blake made this book for me. If you love strong, sexy, alpha males that will do anything for the woman they love- destroy friendships, put aside business and family - anything, then you will love Gavin Blake.
The length and pacing of the book was incredibly satisfying though by the end I still wanted more and cannot wait for the next book. Though there is a huge love triangle that the story revolves around it was very well written and I didn't feel like banging my head against the wall at all. That's not to say that there weren't times that I wanted to shake some sense into Emily or beg for her to catch Dillon in the act but from her perspective, I can see why she stuck with him the way she did and tried her hardest to keep Gavin at arm's-length and stay faithful. The character growth throughout the book is phenomenal and I enjoyed the alternating point of views as well.
Collide was bursting with angst, second-guessing and over-thinking from its characters. A kaleidoscope of emotions that still has my heart pounding. This is not an easy story, or an easy romance. There is no happily ever after - yet. And you have to wonder, is it fate that Gavin and Emily keep meeting? Or fate that they keep losing each other? Food for thought. I can't say too much more about this story without getting spoilery but suffice it to say, if you love contemporary romance and new adult romance than you need to pick up Collide today! I am counting down the days until Pulse, August 10th can't come soon enough!

Colliding with a second chance…
On the heels of graduating college and trying to cope with her mother’s death, Emily Cooper moves to New York City for a fresh start.
While harboring secrets of his own, Dillon Parker takes care of Emily through her grief. Knowing he can’t live without her by his side, he’s sweet, thoughtful, and everything Emily has ever wanted in a man.
Until she meets Gavin Blake—a rich and notorious playboy who is dangerously sexy and charming as hell. Emily tries to deny the instant connection she feels, but Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome is not inclined to let go so easily. Recovering from his own painful past, Gavin will stop at nothing to win Emily over.
This unexpected encounter compels Emily to question her decisions, forcing her to make a choice that will destroy friendships, shatter hearts, and forever change her life.
