Crystal's Thoughts:
Kristen Proby's With Me in Seattle is a series that I've really come enjoy and it seems to get better and better with each book. But the reason I picked up this series to begin with is because of this book right here, Rock With Me. Sexy, tattooed, rock star and feisty leading lady? Yes, please!
Sam is movie star and producer Luke Williams sister (Come Away With Me). She loves her family and is fiercely protective of them, but she has been burned from Luke's stardom in the past so refuses to have anything to do with celebrities. Leo Nash is the lead singer and founder of the hit band, Nash. On hiatus and returning to his home town of Seattle, Leo meets the blonde haired ice queen through his sister, Meg. Despite her cold attitude towards him, Leo is captivated by her. He soon persuades her to run with him and their journey takes off from there.
Leo and Sam both are characters with extremely high walls erected around them. Sam comes from an amazing family so at first, you question what her issues are and if their founded. But despite her tough exterior you learn that she has a low opinion of herself in comparison to the rest of her family. Whereas Leo has been dealt a tough hand in life while young, losing his family at the age of twelve and shuffled around in the foster care system, which we all know can range in experiences. You would think, coming into this story, that Sam would have the easier time getting rid of those walls but surprisingly it's Leo that pulls through in this story. Leo never wanted to marry or commit to a relationship, being in the business he is in, he knows how difficult that would be on both parties. But once he meets Samantha, his view and his world is turned upside down. Right away there is an attraction sizzling between this pair but Sam is a tough cookie to crack. The banter between her and Leo through the story was fantastic. Leo finally wiggles through a crack in Sam's wall and the chemistry between these two under the sheets (as well as an office, bathroom, car, kitchen...) is explosive. For me, Leo really made the story. And not just because he is a sexy, tattooed rock star with yummy star tattoos. He is also incredibly sweet, caring and romantic. He never gave up on Sam, no matter how many times she pulled away. Sam is one of those characters that you start off not liking but by the end you're laughing along with. She was a joy to read about and I loved her attitude. And the family dynamics in this series! It is amazing. You don't just get one couple to love in these books, you get several!
Rock With Me was a quick and entertaining read that I recommend you picking up, it will keep you engaged with every page. My only complaint with this series is the similarities in each book, they don't have much range when it comes to eating, drinking and the sex. Though it's still good, I think it could be better.
I am really looking forward to Brynna and Caleb's story, something that readers have had glimpses of in the past two books now. The author has really peaked my curiosity with that whole story. Thankfully it is next!

Front Man Leo Nash from the world-famous rock band, Nash, is the last person on earth Samantha Williams would trust. She's already learned about loving a celebrity the hard way and isn't signing up for another lesson.
Every time Sam gives Leo attitude, he wants to knock that chip off her fragile little shoulder. What the hell did he ever do to her, anyway? He's not used to women treating him like he's poisonous, and he isn't about to let her run away every time he gets close. He's had enough of people running away to last him a lifetime...when this one runs, he gives chase. But, catching Sam isn't as hard as he thought.
The sexual attraction between them is so thick, Sam can practically hold it in her hand. There's no way she can deny herself the promise of pleasure being with Leo would provide.
But, pleasure always comes with pain and when secrets are revealed and trust is challenged, who will run and who will chase?
