Crystal L's Thoughts:
I read this novella quite some time ago, and yet, when I think about the story, it still manages to make me want to toss my e-reader across the room in a fit of rage. A well written book can do that to you. So let me assure you, Karina Halle can most definitely write a book.
On Every Street is the very beginning of this series. It shows us the story of Ellie (otherwise known as Eden) and Javier. Ellie is a young woman bent on revenge. She wants to get back at the man, Travis, who poured acid on her leg as a punishment for her parents when she was a little girl. Because of Travis she is permanently disfigured and will always walk with a limp. To get her revenge, she falls into her parent's con artist footsteps. Eventually she comes across one of Travis' employees, Javier. So now her mission is to get close to Javier, so that she can get close enough to Travis.
What she didn't count on was falling in love with Javier. Or Javier breaking her heart. 5 Wine Glass Toast to the novella that forever made love Javier as much as I hate his guts! Stay tuned for the next review post of Sins & Needles!

When young con artist Ellie Watt decides to call herself Eden White and go after the drug lord who ruined her as a child, she never expects to fall for one of his henchmen. But Javier Bernal is no ordinary man. Subtly dangerous and overwhelmingly seductive, Eden finds herself passionately in love with Javier, the very person she's set-up to betray. With her body and heart in a heated battle against her deep need for revenge, no one will walk away from this con a winner.
