Crystal L's Thoughts:
Brody Brown. He's smokin' hot, covered in ink, and the father figure of the Brown Siblings. He runs and own an extremely successful tattoo studio while also keeping an eye, and sometimes a firm, guiding hand on his two famous rock-star siblings. But his brother and sister don't need him as much as they used to, and he finds himself at odds with his free time. That is until the gorgeous single mom moves in across the street.
Initially, Brody isn't interested in approaching his new neighbor. Although he loves kids, he isn't interested in getting involved with someone who may already be attached to baby momma drama. That all changes after a drunk driver runs him over as he's standing by his mailbox. That gorgeous neighbor of his sees the whole thing happen and runs to Brody's aide as the drunk driver disappears.
After Brody is released from the hospital he goes over to his neighbor's house to thank her for her help, and falls into instant lust. Elise looks like an angel, but she's got secrets that she's afraid would make Brody think the worst of her should he ever find out. As their relationship moves along though, Brody and Elise find themselves starting to lean on each other. Build those connections for a relationship that's loving and will last. But when Elise's past comes back to haunt her, will Brody stand by her side, or turn away when she needs him the most?
This book was awesome. I loved Elise and Brody. Especially Brody. Dane has a wonderful affinity for building characters that make you wish you could step into the book live there with them. Brody Brown is one of those characters.

After his parents' death, Brody gave up a promising career to care for his family. Now, with his siblings grown, Brody owns his own business, and for the first time in years he's alone. Elise has come to Seattle with her daughter to find peace. After years as a world-famous ballerina-and trapped in a marriage gone bad-she's looking for neither love nor attention. But she finds both in the handsome, honest man who befriends her with no strings attached.
Brody and Elise discover in each other the wild, physical passion they need. But it'll take a shadow from Elise's past to make them look beyond what they need-to what they truly desire.
