The worst winter in 18 years

I live in the Midwest, Indiana to be exact. Usually our winters are mild. Yes, we get some snow and cold temperatures, but for the most part the temps stay in double digits and the snow isn't bad. Well, the 2013/14 winter is one for the record books.

The last time I recall getting so much snow was the year I gave birth to my daughter, late 1995. Even though the snow was deep, the Government didn't shut down. In fact, the last time the Government shut all offices was during the blizzard of 1978. Well, that changed this year.
