She was here with the release of book one in her Dead in the City series, and now she is back! Which means two things, we have book two and another chance to ply her with wine to get more vampire details from her! Welcome Sara Humphreys!
It feels like a long time between every book. LOL. But it's kind of fun to have that much time in between because it's like visiting with old friends.
Lexi: You had been waiting to hear readers reactions to Dead in the City and see if it held up to your Amoveo Legend series. You didn’t have to wait long for the good reviews to come in! Your writing and ability to weave mythology into your stories captures readers no matter what characters are in the spotlight. Are you less nervous with the release of Vampire Trouble?
Wow! Thank you so much but no. LOL. I am equally nervous every single time but it's like that for me with all parts of the process. Honestly, every time I sit down to write a new book, I worry I won't be able to do it.
Lexi: Who would be nervous with a well received book one, and then you have the genius to lightly merge your two worlds! Vampires of NY and the Amoveo Legends! As a reader I love it when an author brings in well loved characters to another series, even if it is in a small capacity. Were you grinning when you wrote your Amoveo heros into Vampire Trouble?
Yes! It's so fun for me to bring those old friends back and I hope readers like it too. I enjoy having one thread that runs through all of my books and keeps them connected.
Lexi: In book one you gave us the powerful reincarnation plot line. Now we have Maya, a newly turned vamp, and Shane, who is a vampire sentry, inadvertently start a vampire-werewolf war. So much action going on, do you ever have to reel back and keep the center on your MC? Or do you just let the words flow and laugh at the collateral damage?
I let it flow but usually in the edits, I will reign it in if it got a bit out of control. I love a lot of action but it can't be at the expense of the hero and heroine or their happily ever after. At the end of the day, I write romance and an HEA is a must!
Lexi: Great covers, fun stories and book three on the way. Congrats Sara on Vampire Trouble! We look forward to book three to see what kind of mess you leave NY in!
Thank you so very much for hosting me xxx
