Beauty and the Brit isn’t the title but the name of the series. Where do you go after book one? Will we continue to see the same Beauty and Brit or will there be others in similar situations? So many questions and hopefully our guest today will answer some. Welcome Terri L. Austin!
TLA: Hello! Thanks so much for having me on today.
Lexi: I love the series name, Beauty and the Brit. Does this aptly describe each book that you have planned for your series? His Every Need is book one which releases on August 5th, do you have the rest of the series planned out?
TLA: Thank you! I love it, too. Beauty and the Brit sums it up so nicely. The series follows three sisters, their British heroes, and is set in Las Vegas. His Every Need is Allie’s story.
Lexi: Big questions right off the bat I know. Instead of dissecting your marketing plan, lets check out your Brit hero Trevor. A man who has no heart for family and so no concern for Allie and her desperate need to save her family home. Do you feel his beastly actions change over the course of the book?
TLA: He does change, but it’s not an easy transformation. Close connections are hard for Trevor, but Allie is a package deal. Her sisters come first, whether Trevor likes it or not. Poor Trevor thinks he’s in control, but he soon realizes that all bets are off when it comes to family.
Lexi: I have always been a sucker for the Beauty and the Beast plot line. The girl who will do anything to save what she holds dear and the man, or beast, who is cold and calculating. Though what really draws me is the transformation from cold and unfeeling to fierce loyalty and love. In His Every Need do you feel Trevor changes or is it Allie whose character is altered?
TLA: Trevor definitely changes. He has to. He’s an uncaring, isolated man. He’s estranged from his barmy parents and his beloved grandfather has passed—Trevor has no one. Allie blows into his life like a gust of fresh air. He’s not prepared, and he’s not sure he likes it, but she does transform him.
Lexi: Trevor is British and therefore must have some classic British humor. Did you find it hard to write him or did he just sit beside you one day and amuse you with his sarcasm and wit?
TLA: I love British humor. So understated and biting. And you’re right—he did start talking to me one day, and he wouldn’t go away. I couldn’t turn him off. I finally had to tell his story, so he’d pipe down.
Lexi: I think I really like the sound of Trevor...yep, I must go find this book. And of course the remainder of the series so I can find out how Beauty and the Brit plays out in each installment! Thanks for stopping by Terri! Congrats on the beginning of your series!
TLA: Thanks so much, Lexi. It was a pleasure to be here!

How far will she go to hold on to her family home?
When Allie Campbell's father loses their home to British tycoon Trevor Blake, she pleads for more time to pay off the loan. But Trevor refuses to acknowledge his own family, so he's completely unconcerned with hers. Allie impulsively offers to do anything to keep the house, so he teasingly tells her to move in with him and cater to his every need. To his amazement, she agrees...
As a girl, Terri L. Austin thought she'd outgrow dreaming up stories and creating imaginary friends. Instead, she's made a career of it. She met her own Prince Charming and together they live in Missouri. She loves to hear from readers. Drop her a note at TerriLAustin.com.
