She’s always wanted him…
After being rescued from her dying planet and brought to Lumineta with other humans, Saroya has always been fascinated by Linc, a formidable warrior. She mates with him and his brother, and has never understood his reluctance to be near her or even touch her. When his brother dies and he makes it clear he’s sexually interested, she can’t fight the incendiary attraction between them.
but things get more complicated in the light of day.
Linc has wanted Saroya from the moment he met her—and throughout her short mating with his brother. His culture might encourage two males to mate with one woman, but Linc could never share Saroya. Not even with his brother. When his brother dies, leaving her unmated, Linc intends to claim her. Before he can win that battle he’ll have to swallow his warrior pride and win her heart once and for all.
Linda's Thoughts:
He wished they could just be naked in his bed and not worry about words. Talking was overrated anyway.
HEATED MATING by Savannah Stuart is a HOT, futuristic, sci-fi romance featuring aliens who are endowed with especially pleasing abilities. Ooh la la! I have read this series out of order. I first read the third book in this series and enjoyed it so much that I was determined to go back and read the first two books as soon as I got a chance. I'm happy to report that they are just as fantastic. Each of these reads is perfect for a quick read - whether curled up in your easy chair or out-on-the town (as I was) reading on the fly. Just know that you will want a fan capable of a strong breeze nearby when you read any of these books. They're steamy and soooo good!
HEATED MATING is the story of human female Saroya and Lumineta warrior Linc. On Lumineta, since there is a shortage of women, women are mated with two brothers. Linc was enamored of Saroya from the first moment he saw her, but when Gage, his brother, claimed her, Linc could not share. He wanted her only for himself. Even after Gage tragically died, Linc did not feel worthy of her since he was scarred. He did not want to force himself upon her and that's what he'd convinced himself would happen if he tried to court her. It didn't seem that these two individuals could find the way to each other.
Oh my! I love this series! These characters both came across as realistic and genuine and my heart ached for each of them. Their story is passionate and intensely emotional. It's amazing what this author can pack into a short story. I'm not surprised since Savannah Stuart is another name that Katie Reus writes under. Katie is one of my very favorite authors. Will Saroya find a way through the seemingly impregnable walls Linc has erected around his heart? Pick this up and enjoy their journey! AND get ready to fan yourself a lot!
Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from this scintillating read:
She tucked her bottom lip between her teeth as she digested his words. "So you do wish for me in your bed?"
"No, yes, I..."
---
She gritted her teeth. "You can't just... get into my bed like this."
A ghost of a smile played across his face.
"I already have," he murmured.
Even though this is technically a sci-fi, don't worry that you'll need to plough through a lot of science fiction mumbo gumbo. This is first and foremost an erotic romance... and a darn good one! If you like your romance sizzling, I highly recommend that you pick up HEATED MATING, and fall in love with the author's magnificent, yummy, alpha extraterrestrial warriors who are crazy for human females. I want to get in line!
