Lexi: We’re very excited today! The author who’d turned her dining room into a wine room is back! Welcome, Donna Grant!
Lol. Thank you, Lexi! I’m happy to be back!
Lexi: We’ve been hanging in anticipation for your next book, and now MY FAVORITE COWBOY is here and you filled it with mystery…and suspense! Our heroine is a vet and she has to figure out who is poisoning some horses. Would you say it’s their love of horses that bring the hero and heroine together?
Definitely the horses have something to do with it, but it’s also about family and the strength of ties to friends that make this book so special.
Lexi: As an animal lover, I’m a big fan of pets or other animals playing an important role in the plot. But the horse mystery isn’t the only thing going on in MY FAVORITE COWBOY. You’ve got a HEA for Caleb! For those who haven’t read books one and two yet don’t worry, you won’t be lost at all but for those who are up to speed on the Heart of Texas series, Caleb is one of the brothers we’ve met in the previous books. Did you know you’d get to Caleb’s story within the first few books when you started the series?
I knew all three Harpers were going to get books, but I didn’t know in what order at the time. Then it seemed natural to go in their birth order. Though, I have a soft spot for Caleb. He’s my favorite. ☺
Lexi: We’re suckers for related characters, either by blood or close friends that live in the same towns. It’s why we’re fans of series! And you’ve written quite a number of series. Are there any other books planned for the Heart of Texas?
I love writing series. It just seems so natural to me. And I get to stay in the same world that I’ve created while also revisiting characters. It’s a win-win for me. ☺ And yes, I can tell you that there will be three more HOT books coming.
Lexi: You’ve managed to keep each book in this series packed with danger and we can’t get enough of your writing. Thank you for stopping by today and we hope to see you back soon! Cheers to MY FAVORITE COWBOY’s book birthday!
I’m delighted that you’re enjoying the books. Thanks for having me, and I can’t wait to come back.

Audrey Martinez is a veterinarian who has devoted her whole life to the care and protection of horses―even if doing so leaves her little time for meeting a man. Who would have thought that a strange case of criminal horseplay would lead her to falling deeply, wildly in love? If only the man who makes her heart race faster than a wild mustang would let his guard down, that is. . .
Caleb Harper is no ordinary cowboy. Sure, he wears his hat, boots, and jeans like a second skin, and displays an easygoing charm that comes from years of working on the ranch. But with his military background, and Army buddies at his side, he is tried-and-true Texas tough. Audrey knows she can trust a man like Caleb to help her save horses. But can Caleb trust himself to resist his attraction to Audrey―or will the sparks of their desire end up getting them burned?
