The Trewlove family are no strangers here! And today we get to talk about the youngest daughter…Fancy. Not only do we get to talk about her, we get to talk to the woman who created her! Please join me in welcoming, Lorraine Heath!
Lexi: It’s almost as if you’ve been saving the best heroine for book five. Almost, because we’ve had Gillie, Selena, Aslyn, so many amazing women. But now, we finally get Fancy’s story! And the cherry on top that makes her extra perfect: she runs a bookshop. Yes, dear readers, you read that right. Fancy runs a bookshop. Lorraine, what was your favorite thing about writing a heroine in this career?
Lorraine: Lexi, thank you so much for having me at Reading Between the Wines Book Club. Wine is one of my passions and I like nothing better than curling up with a glass and a good book. Also, I’m glad you’re enjoying the Trewlove. I rather fancy them myself. ☺
My favorite thing about writing a story involving a bookshop proprietor was Fancy’s absolute passion for all books—all genres, all types—and her dedication to sharing that passion with others. She recognizes the importance of reading, not only for its joy but for the worlds it opens.
Lexi: Who wouldn’t want to fall in love over books?! Books are the ultimate aphrodisiac for people like us. And, apparently for Matthew Sommersby too! If Matthew were to be caught #hotguysreading, where would he be found and what would be in his hand?
Lorraine: Matthew Sommersby would be found in a skiff, floating along the Thames, reading a penny dreadful.
Lexi: Matthew Sommersby is perfection! Especially for Fancy! Isn’t that enough to make you want to curl up with a book and a cuppa hot something? Tell us, Lorraine, if you were caught reading, where would you be found and what would be in your hand?
Lorraine: I would be found in a recliner near the fire burning on the hearth, glass of wine in one hand, and a historical romance in the other. I enjoy all genres but historical remains my first love. I’m unable to tell you who I might be reading because I have so many favorite authors and am constantly discovering new ones who carry me away into their world.
Lexi: We’re seriously in the mood for a sweet romance and a glass of wine now! And THE EARL TAKES A FANCY is going to hit the spot! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog, Lorraine! Cheers to your book birthday and we’re already looking forward to Sins for All Seasons number 6!
Lorraine: Thank you for the fun questions! I think THE EARL TAKES A FANCY goes well with a nice white wine, but you’ll definitely want something red and bold for BEAUTY TEMPTS THE BEAST.

About the Author:
Lorraine Heath has always had a soft spot for emotional love stories. No doubt because growing up, watching movies with her mom, she was taught that the best movies "won't half make you cry."
She is the daughter of a British beauty (her mom won second place in a beauty contest sponsored by Max Factor® during which she received a kiss from Caesar Romero, (the Joker on the original Batman TV series) and a Texan who was stationed at Bovingdon while serving in the air force. Lorraine was born in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, but soon after moved to Texas. Her "dual" nationality has given her a love for all things British and Texan, and she enjoys weaving both heritages through her stories.
When she received her BA degree in psychology from the University of Texas, she had no idea she had gained a foundation that would help her to create believable characters—characters that are often described as “real people.” She began her career writing training manuals and computer code for the IRS, but something was always missing. When she read a romance novel, she became not only hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She's been writing about them ever since. Her work has been recognized with numerous industry awards including RWA's RITA®. Her novels have appeared on bestseller lists, including USA TODAY and the New York Times.
The author of more than 60 novels, she writes historical and contemporary romance for adults and historical romance for teen readers. Under the names Rachel Hawthorne and Jade Parker, she writes popular contemporary, historical, and paranormal romance for teens readers. She also writes young adult novels with her son under the name J. A. London. https://www.lorraineheath.com/
