Welcome to Dark Moon Falls … where everything is not as it seems. It has secrets, shifters, romance, villains and so much more.
Ghost has been living the life of a nomad. A Lone Wolf. Riding his Harley, picking up odd jobs, and stopping only long enough to lay his head somewhere for the night. But life on the road is no longer as appealing as it used to be and he’s ready to settle down, find a mate, and begin the next chapter of his life.
Dark Moon Falls seems like a great place to do just that.
Mackenzie was born and raised in Dark Moon Falls, but ever since her ex-husband landed in jail based off of her testimony, she’s become a pariah to the shifters in town. Which is fine with Mac, because after being left to raise her son alone, she doesn’t have much faith in them either.
Ghost and Mac are two lonely souls, until fate finally intervenes and puts them in each other’s paths... But will they accept the gift of each other, or are they both two stubborn to see what’s right in front of them?
Excerpt:
“I’m Mac,” I replied, my voice soft and gravely.
Usually when a customer assumed I was a man, I’d freeze him with a glacial stare, but all I felt when I looked at Ghost was fire. I couldn’t even drum up a hint of offense at his assumption.
“Oh, sorry,” he said, taking in my coveralls and probably grease stained face. “I should have put that together… Mac… Mackenzie… I’m a little slow today. Chalk it up to lack of sleep?”
“Yeah, sure, of course… it happens all the time,” I said, trying to move away from him inconspicuously, the pull between us freaking me out. “She’s all set, come this way.”
I swear I could feel his gaze on my ass, almost as if it were his hands touching me.
We walked through the bay and into the back lot where his Harley was waiting. I stopped next to the bike, my breath catching as Ghost came up beside me, his arm brushing against mine.
When he placed his hand over mine, I pulled back with a gasp.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Testing something,” he murmured, turning toward me and placing his hands on my shoulders.
Ghost looked down at me, searching my face as if it held secrets he wanted to learn.
“Stop,” I managed.
It came out like I was begging, but I didn’t care, I needed whatever was happening between us to not be happening.
“Why?” he asked, his voice low and rough.
Ghost brushed his thumb across my cheek and I couldn’t catch my breath.
It was like every second of my life had led me to this moment.
“Because I can’t do this?” I replied, blinking back unshed tears.
Why was I getting emotional?
“Have dinner with me tonight,” he said, more of a statement than a question.
